Lanark Golf Club

Outstanding course, credit to the greenkeepers, the fairways and greens are in outstanding condition, considering the weather we’ve had recently, this is very impressive. We then had a tour of the facility and met the club manager, who was extremely accommodating. Food was excellent as well.

Played last week and the course was in magnificent condition for the time of year. Greens were wonderful. Probably the best inland courses for winter golf that I’ve played.

The friendly , cheerful service over a Christmas lunch yesterday was excellent, and if rated just on this, then 5 * would not be enough. The starter of salmon was rather salty, but the accompanying salad was fresh and not overwhelming in quantity. Overlong wait before the main course arrived. Beef casserole had a delicious sauce, but a very soggy dumpling. Parsnips and carrots were badly prepared and cut, and rather too hard for "Al dente", rather "Al concrete". Last year's Christmas lunch...

A stunning moorland course in the Central Belt of Scotland. Challenging and enjoyable. Stunning views and an exceptional golfing experience. Highly recommend.

Great course. Lovely layout. Unfortunately work being done on the greens. Still a very enjoyable day.
