I suffer from depression, anxiety and I’m terrified of horses. Good start, right? In a moment of braveness/madness I decided to book a riding lesson, not only to overcome my fear but also to challenge my anxiety. The staff at Kingsmead couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly, patient and non-judgmental. They allocated a horse called Turbo to me - naturally I had a series of mini hearts attacks when they told me his name but thankfully he’s only Turbo by name, not nature 😅 Did I mention I...

Me and one of my friends had our first hack here on Sunday with Fiona and loved it. It was a lovely ride out with some stunning scenery, good canter trails and hardly any road work. Nico was extremely well behaved, and whilst I had a crop, I never had to use this as he responded well to the leg. Having previously owned my own horses and livery, I was impressed with the yard and the horses were very well looked after With good facilities. All the staff I met were lovely and already booked ...

I had the best end to my day today. I’m fortunate enough to be able to ride at Kingsmead and this evening I got to ride the wonderful Puzzle. First time riding him and I was unsure, however I have got to trust my coach Katie and the staff at Kingsmead and know they would not match me to an unsuitable horse. It was my best riding to date. After the lesson is the highlight to my week. I get to untack and sponge my horse down and then turn him out into the field. Myself, a fellow rider and a mem...

I've been riding at Kingsmead for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it, as does my 7 year old daughter. It's actually not super convenient for me as it's a bit of a drive from London but it's better than any other stables I've been to in South East London. The instructors are so knowledgeable, and friendly and very focused in their direction so feel like it really helps you improve. They have lots of great events and activities to take part in and the stables themselves and the horses ar...

My friend and I went today for a semi private lesson, it was our first time, we enjoyed quite a lot and we have had such a great experience. We would like to thank the mentor that we had. The staff seem very nice and polite, the horses seem to be very well looked after, the area is also very nice. Totally recommended, we are looking forward to coming back soon.
