I became president of the club in 2004/5. I found the premises at Heron Road, organised the purchase and fitting out. At the first meeting at Heron Road. Cecil Richey, father figure of the club, thanked me for the significant service and proposed that I become President. Seconded by Toni Sproule we drank Tesco's cava. He stated that without my work the club may not have survived. Now Derek Cannell has two presidents Bob Marks and Ian Ross

  • In my opinion this is the best Bridge Club in the Belfast area. Sessions for all levels from beginners to Senior players. Some of the sessions you don't even need to have a partner. Very friendly. Beginners, Improvers and Advanced classes are beginning in September. See their website for details. Daytime Parking can be difficult as they only have limited spaces outside. Use the nearby Belfast Opera society spaces. You may be clamped elsewhere. Plenty of spaces at the rear of the building.
