Our one week stay aboard narrowboat Maddison as a family of 5 was without doubt one of the best holidays we've been on. The boat itself is modern, spacious and clean. Extremely well equipped it affords most of the comforts of home, packed efficiently into the space of a narrowboat. Once you start your trip and begin to spot other boats using the canals you'll realise what a good decision it was to have hired this boat. The generic fleets of hire boats out there pale in comparison to Maddison...

We have enjoyed our family weekend on Maddison very much. Brevic and Michele made us very welcome on arrival and gave an invaluable introduction to the boat and how to manage locks and bridges. The boat is immaculate and very well appointed. They also gave us great advice on where to travel to, and which restaurant to dine in for a special occasion meal. The standard of Maddison was even commented upon by other boaters we encountered in our travels. A very big THANK YOU to Brevic and Michele.

I was really apprehensive as a friend who was joining me and my son for the cruise had cancelled late on, but the orientation and cruising/ lock operating tuition before we were let loose was excellent. We soon looked almost like we'd been doing it all our lives and had no problems. The accommodation on board is very comfortable and worked perfectly for us - we had our own space, including bathrooms. And he even got to play on the play station in the evening. Would highly recommend.
