I have been studying with John for a few years and I have throughly enjoyed my lessons. John has helped my playing and technique considerably, particularly improving my technique to avoid injury (a problem I'd had in the past). He is able to communicate ideas in a simple and effective way and I recommend studying with him.

I think finding the right teacher is very important; I've tried a couple and John is the first one who has helped me make genuine progress. John is very calm and patient. John is a patient and talented tutor and I enjoy my weekly lesson. I don't get time for enough practise but unlike many teachers John is happy to follow a pace that suits me. Lessons are varied and interesting with just the right balance of scales, songs, theory and chords. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for a tutor who can teach a wide variety of styles.

John is a great tutor, and comes highly recommen...
