Jim Farey Drum Studio

Jim is a very friendly, knowledgeable and patient drum tutor with a great sense of humour. I had a couple of lessons with him where he gave me advice about the drum set placement, posture and drum sticks grip; he showed me how to play different parts of the song that I wanted to learn and at the end of the last lesson that I had with him, he gave me some notes to take home. Great guy, 10/10.

I took my 8 year old son to Jim for drum lessons and we were delighted with Jim as a teacher. He knew how to get the best out of our son and he adapted his techniques to our Seth's way of learning. I work nationally and internationally as a Madonna tribute act in theatres and at corporate events. In 2022 our drummer broke his leg and called Jim in to cover several shows. Jim was easy to work with, got the job done and his drumming kept the show on the road. He even rose to the challenge of routing and cueing our audio and visuals on a gig when we didn't have the band member who usually handles this.
