We stopped over for lunch while out on a days sail on the Solent. A lovely walk through Cowes high street that lead our way to here. It seems to hold plenty of history, with lots of photos, awards & trophies adorning walls & shelfs. Upstairs is where we had lunch, it’s a large area again decorated with many pennants representing Sailing clubs from around the world. The cafe is in a great location next to the water. Very casual dining with disposable plates, boxes and wooden cutlery. But the food was good. A nice burger and the fries are fantastic . In fact the fries are so good all the staff are eating them between serving. The guy on the barbecue was eating fries, the waiting staff had a couple of boxes in a booth on the go and the doughnut guy... well he was too busy on his phone so I'm not sure if he was actually eating fries as well. First time they held a full wedding, they did very well. With extreme heat, the food was really good, staff friendly . The venue itself held amazing views of west cowes.
