Iain Doran Guitar Lessons: London

Iain's lessons have brought my guitar skills on a long way in a short space of time. He has a deep knowledge of music theory which he combines with very practical guidance on technique with the instrument. He's also well set up for giving online lessons. All in all great value for money and highly recommended.

I've been having lessons with Iain for nearly a year. We've been doing a bit of music theory as well as working on my technique. Firstly, it's simply extremely enjoyable. Ian is very knowledgeable in music theory and history and blues in particular. He is always very well prepared for the lesson and has a game plan. There are a lot of guitar teachers out there so I feel very fortunate to have found Iain, he is giving my guitar playing the foundation that it desperately needed. The lessons are well paced and carefully structured, everything is explained really well and I am now able to get my head round stuff I was struggling with before. I highly recommend him for fun, relaxed and thorough lessons.

After moving around a number of different teachers (a very mixed experience!) I found Iain, and have very much enjoyed his tuition. After taking a taster session with Iain, I knew that he was a great fit for what I was looking for... friendly, articulate and patient, his teaching style is informative and fun. I've really started to enjoy the learning experience and look forward to my sessions each week. Iain balances theory with practical techniques so it really feels like you're getting a rounded approach to learning guitar. I highly recommend him.
