    2/2 I would be sure to take the time to compare other training providers and pathways. In hindsight, I would have chosen the NEAPP psychodynamic therapy training in Newcastle, which is BPC accredited and has more demanding clinical requirements, but is commutable from the central belt and has much better employment prospects (links with NHS), a smaller course cohort, more individual supervision and guidance, and more experienced tutors, as well as being cheaper.

    1/2 I would echo previous reviews cautioning studying here. I completed 3 years of training here including the foundation and counselling trainings. The staff team was fragmented, lecturers on the whole unprepared, which resulted in a poor learning experience, and disturbing dynamics overall for our group. While trainings are never perfect, it is important that prospective students can evaluate whether they are getting a solid training experience

  • Future counsellors avoid at all costs. I had been accepted to their counselling diploma back in Spring and although I had emailed and called them several times since then ,they finally got back to me with the course dates just 2 weeks before the course start date (August). As a result I will have to miss not just the first weekend, but the whole course because of absences. The worst thing is that instead of saying sorry, they tried to gaslight me by telling me that 2 weeks is enough time a...

  • I attended cosca modules 3 and 4 with HDS. It was an extremely unprofessional experience. I would caution any future applicants.
