Practice here quite frequently, the course is unplayable due to the poor condition of most of the greens, its been like this for 3or4 years! I have no idea how the greenkeepers get away with it, they would be sacked if they didn't work for the council! Arrowe Park and Brackenwood are much better!

Usually a decent Muni, unfortunately it is in a bit of a mess. Am sure there will be budget in place for when the pros want to practice in a few years. Majority of greens are patchy and bare, fairways haven't been cut, lose a ball from a good tee shot amongst the daisies is a nightmare. Bunkers have very little sand, what is there is concrete hard and no rakes available. Even the tee boxes are overgrown with weeds. Avoid at all costs and use the other Wirral Municipals.

Played for the first time at hoylake in 10 years. My god its gone downhill. I heard it was bad but I thought I'd check it out. The tees were diabolical. Only just better than the fairways. Fairways and greens desperately need cutting. Far too long. Bunkers were terrible. What a shame it used to be a good course

Course is in ok condition, but the fairways desperately need spraying as they are covered in daisies and dandelions and have a job to find your ball, greens also need a feed to bring them up to scratch ! wont take much to make this a nice course and a good test of golf. other than few little issues enjoyed it and will be back to see how the course progresses through the next few months,
