Havering Jiu Jitsu Academy

A really excellent academy. It is full of friendly people that will make you feel welcome regardless of your experience or fitness level. The class is coached with a great focus on the finer details and done so in a way that is easy to digest. You have nothing to lose by at least trying the intro class and everything to gain!

I am pleasantly surprised at the level of praise this club is receiving. Having seen these showers of positive reviews I took my 4 year old for a trial session. I was not told that I needed to be there early and since I walk it was relatively difficult for us to find the place within the college in the dark and we were about 10 minutes late. The class had already begun and my child was asked to quickly remove their trainers and socks and get on the mat, which they did. My child is a relativel...

Lots of mat space and a good balance between drilling and sparring. Amazing atmosphere in the gym with lots of comradery. No egos, everyone is there to learn. Top notch instruction from David who manages to provide guidance for complete beginners to advance level all within the same space! Highly recommend!

Started training here a couple months ago and the experience has been awesome so far. All members of the club are welcoming and are happy to help me develop and teach me. Dave’s classes are second to none and he goes in-depth with every technique. If you’re wanting to start learning jiu jitsu, HJJA is the the only place to be 💪🏼

Recently started training here , great atmosphere zero egos and everyone has helped me as the new boy . David is great and explains everything clearly and will repeat any drill with you that you’re unsure of . I’d recommend to anyone looking to try a new martial art or looking to swap clubs .
