Awesome community for all abilities. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and meet some super friendly people. Only real place to play casual over the board chess in London. Amazing idea, even better execution

Great place! Nice warm Brewdog in the winter. Nice square in the summer. Very friendly. All levels welcome.

It's just the most lovely and wholesome place to play chess every Saturday. Everyone is very nice and there are players of all strengths here! The owner is absolutely lovely and down to Earth. Best of all, it's absolutely free! No shortage of good people, good chess games, and good drinks (BrewDog is just around the corner) 11/10 would recommend.

Lots of fun for beginners and advanced players alike, with people of all abilities going every week. You could even attend the infamous "Fifth Corner" at the Brewdog pub late into the evening for more chess and beers

Just rock up and play, or just observe and chat. Usually from around 12:00 to 15:00. If it’s raining the group go to the nearby Clerkenwell & Social bar. Friendly atmosphere, open to all regardless of ability. No need to bring your own set, but I’d recommend it if you want to keep playing after 3 pm.
