A great golf course layout through the tall Pines & other trees. For the time of year (March) it was in fairly decent overall condition- the greens were excellent, the bunkers good & the fairways mixed. Range facilities quite basic for the standard of venue & no chipping area, but a large practice green. Some re...

Public areas cold, room cold. Asked for a heater as room had skirting board heating, technical speak for fooking freezing. Had to borrow a fan heater. Food greatly improved. Had chicken supreme was cooked beautifully. Side order of roasted root veg, taste nice aniseed undertone maybe fennel. Sea bass was also very nice well cooked.

I've just played forest pines in January ,it was dampish but it is winter time and all the greens were open, great layout, you will need to be straight to enjoy these 3 loops of nine. In the summer it's beautiful when all the trees are leafy. It's a very busy course but with a slow pace most of the time. Food and drink is expensive. 1 doz pro v1 £50. Don't let this put you off it's a fantastic test of golf and I always look forward to playing it in summer.
