First Strokes

Enrolled my son for this and although it started out well, soon there was lack of interest by substitute teachers. My son was there for six months and has not learnt anything apart from a little confidence in the water. Very disappointed and dissatisfied over the lost time and money. I have asked for a refund and apparently that takes 60 days?!!!!!! Great to pay instantly but where money is owed back then it’s 60 to even look into the claim ?!!!! Absolutely shocking ! Excellent facility to teach my children how to swim. Extremely friendly staff who are fantastic and always very professional. Good to have a waiting area to watch the swimming and access to changing rooms after the session. I recommend first strokes to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work! You could close over the Christmas period to allow the staff time to relax after a stressful year! X

I'm taking my little granddaughter for her first swimming lessons. Changing area far too hot. Tuition appears to be adequate; same exercises repeated each week to grow water confidence. She's not keen on the jump in off the side at the end but will hopefully grow in confidence and as she watches the other children doing this. Difficult for parents/carers to watch this due to where they do this in relation to viewing area.

We take the children on weekends. Kids love swimming but most parents don't talk to each other in viewing area as expected in society these days. You may get a token smile or murmur 😀

My son has swimming lessons here. The swimming teachers are brilliant (especially Chris). The pool is always warm which is great for little kids. It is quite a quiet pool so good to bring babies and toddlers. It is a bit dated and in need of some repairs to it's wooden structure but don't let that put you off.
