I've always thought of myself as tone deaf and lacking in rhythm but decided at the tender age of 60 I needed a new challenge. So I decided to take up the guitar. Searching online I found Simon and went for a taster lesson. Simon is very friendly and has a way of teaching that simplifies things and gets you playing music quickly. He's very patient and provided you put in the practice you will see results. I am no longer tone deaf and I do have rhythm! In just 20 months I am able to play along...

I started learning on my own and managed to play some chords and even play and sing some songs. Simon from Express Guitar allowed me to access a much wider range of songs, through the right personalised advice and exercises, and, in my opinion, in a surprisingly small number of lessons. Higly recommended!

Simon employs a unique approach to guitar teaching that will not disappoint. You won't find his approach elsewhere. Go for a lesson - that's all you'll need.

Fantastic instructor with an enthusiastic and holistic approach to guitar teaching. I've only just started playing the guitar with Simon and I've learnt so much already - he's helped with my singing too! Highly recommended for beginners like me.

Simon is an extremely knowledgeable and accomplished guitarist. As a player, he is technically extremely able while retaining a musical and expressive attitude. As a teacher, his depth of knowledge is rivalled only by his ability to share that knowledge. I am a drummer, yet through numerous conversations with Simon I have learned things as a musician. If you are a guitarist looking for a teacher to give you the best possible education, I highly recommend considering Simon.
