Elite Sailing

I recently completed my Day Skipper Practical sailing course with Elite Sailing and had a very positive experience. Our instructor Will was excellent at passing on his knowledge in a relaxed fashion which put all the crew at ease. Friendly but highly professional sail training, both shore-based and practical. Fred and the team are now my "go-to" RYA trainers of choice. After all, if you learn to sail in the Medway and Thames Estuary, in British weather, in February and March, you can probably sail anywhere!

I just come back from my first weekend for competent Crew and wow what a great experience I definitely think Ive got the sailing bug now. A brilliant week of adventure sailing. I took part in the first leg of one of Elite’s 2021 round Britain circumnavigations and was very satisfied with the experience. Steve is a great instructor who has outstanding local knowledge of anchorages, marinas, pubs, and sailing knowledge. He acts as a facilitator on board allowing the crew to really take charge yet he is always there to answer questions and advise when necessary. I just did my day skipper practical course over 5 days. Only have one word: EPIC! Only been sailing a yacht for a year and gained so much knowledge and confidence from this. Ed, the instructor, was great, unassuming, relaxed, patient (very) but extremely knowledgeable and experienced, always willing to rock the 'boat' and try something different. Yacht was great too, good condition and nice size for the trip. And Ed is an amazing boat cook, not fussed by a wok full of boiling oil and potatoes...
