The senior students are patient and helpful and the lack of any sense of competition or aggression was in line with my expectations of, and reasons for choosing, aikido as a martial art. The sensei is helpful and approachable but also expects a high level of precision in the techniques, which is important for effectiveness and safety. Very friendly people and dynamic practice, great balance between women and men, and a wide range of levels among a large group of students. Whether you are considering to start aikido or you are only passing by for a short visit this is a great club!!!

I started training in Aikido at Edinburgh Aikido Club and am very grateful for the wonderful introduction to this beautiful martial art I was given there. The Aikido being taught is technically excellent and precise, the training dynamic and the atmosphere very friendly. I can highly recommend this club to both beginners looking for a new challenge or experienced Aikidoka looking for a new home.

The teacher and students were very friendly and welcoming and within only a short time I felt that I had found my new Aikido "home". Classes are dynamic, fun and challenging at all levels. With a varied syllabus and lots of fellow stud...
