I have just started lessons with Derek after 14 years of on/off playing. I spoke to Derek about what I wanted to focus on and from the first lesson we dived straight in. After half a lesson assessing where I was with my playing Derek new exactly where to start and what I should focus on. I haven’t enjoyed practice this much since I was a teenager. Can’t wait to get more in depth in music theory. Highly recommend Derek for all levels of students.

Derek Roberts is an extremely experienced guitar teacher and you will not find a better person to teach someone from beginner to advanced level. He specializes more in blues, pop, rock and jazz, but will give a clear path for development so you can really understand how music is made. Improvisation and feeling free to create is central to his teaching approach too.

Derek Roberts also known as Dr Creative is a really great teacher. He is extremely experienced, has loads of patience and can take you from a beginner right up to advanced level in a variety of styles.
