  • Great club. Fine sailing even if the wind is a tad shifty!

  • Beautiful place for nature lovers, good hiking place, sailing place, picnic spot, depends when are you going, as we went in October, it was quiet chilly, but not rainy luckily, we enjoyed a lot

  • Beautiful countryside . The tranquil surroundings are to be savoured. You have easy and difficult terrain. Very popular 👌

  • One of several sailing clubs in and around the reservoirs of the South Pennines. You need to join as a member to sail, and the club offers some taster sessions, in addition to training courses RYA level 1 and 2. You can go along to watch. Races are timetabled (summer time), on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoon. There is also a club house for members and guests. Tends towards elitism and priority of racing rather than leisure.

  • Idyllic water park for dinghy sailing in national trust area. Due to hot summer of 2018 water levels depleted so sailors waiting on the rain.
