Doon Valley Golf Club

Brilliant wee local club. On a sunday you can play dominoes for the grand prize of a J.M. Nisbet steak pie. Spent some time in here and although not a local was made to feel welcome. Steak Pie was lovely btw 😁.

Lovely friendly club great for a number nice quiet drink, ideal for functions

Haven't played the course for many years but it is where I learned to play, it has never been hugely busy and although only a nine hole course it offers enough variety to keep most interested. I was at the clubhouse recently for a birthday party and the facilities are pretty basic but we'll maintained. The bar is as cheap as anywhere I have been in a long time and the beer, while limited is pretty good and the spirits are all named brands.
