Dog Training At Paws4Fun Norfolk

We met Alison last week to help with our anxious dog. She was great from the start, slowly meeting Oscar in the garden and working with him. Had a great 2 hour chat about all concerns and how we can best moving forward whilst offering clicker training at the same time. We will also be starting puppy classes for our new puppy and can’t wait to work with Alison going forward! Thanks!

Alison was marvellous & was very knowledgeable about dogs & the reasons for their behaviour, good & bad. She spoke to my wife & I for about an hour sharing tips & ideas & learning about our dog Harry before she met him. She then literally had Harry eating out of her hand as she showed us how to stop him pulling on his lead etc as we practiced techniques in the garden. We have attended both scentwork and mantrailing intro classes with Alison, continuing with a 6 week scentwork beginners course (which was fantastic!) Our Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy Connie is not the most straightforward of young dogs but Alison is so knowledgeable, welcoming and non-judgemental (no breed favouritism either) she gave us the patience, calm environment, and confidence to have a go. I left a review on yell but not everyone sees it so I want to leave a review here too. I was anxious to have the trainer in my home. What if I was completely doing everything wrong?? It didn’t matter if I was, Alison corrected me. I think it’s important to understand Alison doesn’t train your dog. She trains you, then you learn to encourage your dog to do things in a good safe positive way. I have a 10 week old pup who is now looking at me as a focus all the time. Bonus!! He is targeting!! I have a very anxious and over reactive dog which makes a lot of activities unenjoyable. Then I found Alison and her mantrailing classes and finally found something that Rusty enjoys and hopefully is getting better at. Only one dog is ever out at a time so I do not have to worry about him being a problem.
