My daughter started learning electric guitar with David, dabbled with classical before going back to electric. This was all accommodated with good grace and he was always friendly and understanding. My son was having private guitar lessons in the comfort of our own home and now online. David is a great guitar teacher by making lessons very interesting with friendly approach. After each lesson ,the lesson materials are backed up via personal tutorial/demo videos sent over are very helpful too. Tailored lessons each week aimed at pushing forward development. My son truly enjoy playing guitar and looking forward to it .I would surely recommend him.

David McDonnell has been teaching my son electric guitar for the past 4 years the 'Rock School' syllabus which covers a number of genres for example, jazz, funk, blues, country, rock and metal. I received tuition from David a few years ago, and he is an terrific teacher, he is patient, kind and has a very deep knowledge of music theory and is generally a nice person. I had gone from an absolute beginner who didn't even know what a chord was to a grade one merit in just under a year and have already applied for grade 2. Dave started teaching my daughter at school 6 years ago and now teaches all three of my children classical guitar. They all started as complete beginners at the age of 7, but have progressed through their music medals and Trinity grades, all with excellent results.
