Introduction to Inkle Loom Weaving' workshop in the beautiful setting of Fisherton Mill in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Learn how to plan your weaving project, set up your inkle loom ready for weaving and spend a day learning the basic weaving technique in this relaxed & informative beginners weaving workshop. All materials and equipment are provided and you will leave with a clear handout of notes and your first woven band, made from organic cotton and linen, available in a wide range of stunning colours.

Sashiko is a beautiful form of embroidery that uses white stitches on an indigo blue background. Have a go at this beautiful and rewarding hand embroidery technique, which is all done with the simplest of stitches – running stitch. Together we will look at the basic patterns and you can choose one to make into a book cover to take home. This could be the start of something big. No experience necessary, all materials included.
Join us for the day and learn the Art of Log Cabin Quilting. Log cabin quilting is a traditional form of quilting that has been around for centuries. Really popular during the American Civil War the quilt is made up of strips of material, one half light, the other half dark focused around a central square (representing the heart of the home). This workshop will teach you the principles of Log Cabin Quilting, enabling you to design your own piece, whether it’s a cushion for your Christmas theme or placemats / runner for your Christmas Dinner table, you’re sure to leave with beautifully hand-crafted item for everyone to enjoy.
