I’m passionate about mindfulness because it worked for me. When a painful health condition coupled with a demanding role managing a mental health project left me stressed out, anxious and exhausted I enrolled on an eight-week Mindfulness for Health course. I’d already done quite a bit of meditation over the years, but something about that course just clicked with me and I soon started feeling more like myself; more peaceful, open and calm. I committed to a regular mindfulness practice, and felt so inspired by the benefits I experienced on my physical and mental health that I decided to start training so I could share what I’d learnt with others.

Hi, I am Karen Bentley-Brown, founder of Bentley-Brown Associates and passionate about helping people to grow good business. Over this time it has become clear to me that the organisations who look after their people (staff and customers), and their environment, are the most successful; to put it bluntly they are more sustainable AND they make more money. You could say that I’m a bit biased as I have always believed that we should leave the planet in a better way than we found it, both for people and wildlife. One of my early memories is joining WWF’s ‘Panda Club’ as a child in the 1960s after hearing about the plight of giant pandas (I’m pleased to say that they have recently been taken off the ‘endangered species’ list). In my later life I was privileged to work for WWF as one of their Regional Managers before moving on to fundraising and development roles with other environmental organisations including the National Trust. The Growing Club Growing Club Trainers As my work began to merge with the ‘for profit’ world I always carried my environmental hat with me. At first it was under the guise of ‘saving the planet can save you money’… This is true but it isn’t a very authentic business model and I knew there was a better way to do business. Since becoming a freelance business consultant and coach I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of businesses both large and small and have developed a template that works for all organisations based on John Elkington’s Triple Bottom Line or People, Planet, Profit model. Put simply, if you look after your people and your planet you will make more profit. But there are an infinite number of ways to do this and I’d be delighted to help you find the best way for you and your organisation to develop and tell your positive impact story. ☺

Hello my name is Maria Tjader and I am 39 years old. I live with my daughter, partner and his daughter by the sea in South of England, UK. My own healing journey began when I finished school, left Sweden to explore a new life, and intensified when I had an early middle life crises 13 years ago. As a young adult I felt lost and didn’t know who I was. I felt disempowered by life and without roots, it sparked my journey of self-discovery. It’s been an incredible adventure, with a fair amount of difficulties, creating more aliveness, finding my own love story and myth. I was once a socially awkward girl, lost and confused about life. I grew up in a loving family but still didn’t feel like I fit in or had a place of belonging. I didn’t have many consistent friends that I felt deep connection with, kept attracting unhealthy dynamics with men, had low self-esteem and self-worth. I was adopted from South Korea to Sweden at the age of 1,5. At that time I experienced separation 3 times which meant that I found it hard to trust and allow myself to create healthy attachment to my Swedish parents and anyone else for many years. I wasn’t aware of this until the last couple of years after nearly 13 years of private therapy sessions, workshops, courses and shamanic ceremonies.
