This is for New leaders/Managers working within early years. This programme is consists of 6 topics which all include work based projects. 1. What does good leadership look like? 2 Enhance your communication skills .3. Promoting good teamwork. 4 Managing Difficult Conversations. 5. Getting to know sector relevant documents. 6. The importance of wellbeing for yourself and for your team. This programme of training ensures new leaders are professional, knowledgeable and confident in leading teams of people.  The work based projects gives the opportunity to practise new skills and then reflect on that practise with the trainer. The programme is delivered individually for maximum impact either face to face or virtually depending on the location The trainer has 24 years experience of managing teams of people in the early years and can relate to the busy, challenging emotional environments that Early Years Leaders work in. Each session is 1.5hrs.

General English is the most popular course at Castleforbes College. Structured to provide the knowledge to deal with everyday situations. It is based around fun and dynamic lessons that will help you become fluent. Our methodology is founded on practice, conversation and entertainment. Our General English course will also teach you the idioms and colloquial terms used in everyday Irish culture, improving your communication skills in Ireland. This process will be done using a variety of textbooks, audio and video recordings, and group activities amongst students. Every student’s programme is overseen by our Director of Studies and teaching staff, from the first day to the last, supporting, answering questions and evaluating their progress as they follow their learning path. The school receives students from all over the world, as General English courses also allow students from outside the EU to learn English in Ireland with a Work-Study Visa.

This 1 hour PECS overview provides basic information about the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). We begin with a brief overview of the Pyramid Approach to Education, a model commonly used to create effective educational environments. Next, each of the six phases of PECS will be described and/or demonstrated with accompanying videos illustrating PECS in action. We will discuss transitioning from PECS to other modalities, before concluding with a review and analysis of common myths associated with PECS. The qualification has a core group of 5 mandatory units that cover the generic areas including Health and Safety, transport and storage of tools, materials and equipment, checking and confirming the job specification and communication skills. The qualification also has a group of optional units that cover preparation, positioning, testing, installation and assembly. The qualification, along with the required separate proof of Health and Safety knowledge will give candidates a route to the relevant CSCS card required for site access.

This course is accredited by the National Vocational Driving Instructor’s Register. This intensive course is designed for experienced drivers wishing to become an instructor or someone who has been assigned as an assessor within their organisation wishing to upskill.
