This event is designed to teach business leaders and IT technical professionals the benefits of computing in the AWS Cloud.

Join us for some festive fun as we close out the first term of the year with our CHRISTMAS PARTY! Taking place from 5pm at ARCH Clapham (next to Clapham High Street overground station), it'll be a relaxed atmosphere with music, drinks and good cheer. Drinks tokens will be given out to those attending so please be sure to book your tickets in advance so we know how many of you to expect.

DATE: 31st January TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Our Greta Gerwig season continues with this adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic, Little Women. Set in 1860s Massachusetts, the film follows the story of the four March sisters, young ladies coming into their adulthood whilst dealing with familial poverty and their place in a patriarchal landscape. Featuring an all-star cast including Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Timothee Chalamet, Meryl Streep and Bob Odenkirk, the sophomore release of Gerwig's filmography will make you laugh, cry and punch the air with excitement.

DATE: Thursday 9th May TIME: 4:30pm LOCATION: Studio A Following a very successful February mixer event, we are pleased to invite Point Blank Music School back in the Summer Term for an official Pitch Evening. The focus will be for final term CFS students to pitch their graduation film ideas to collaborate with music students from Point Blank. Pitching students should think about what style of music they are looking for and the style that would compliment their overall vision. We hope to have a good turnout and welcome back our friends at Point Blank Music School. Please be sure to book in advance if you want to come along to this event.

DATE: 18th January TIME: 6PM LOCATION: Curzon Soho Theatre, 99 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D 5DY BOOKING DEADLINE: 9th January SONY SCREENINGS have invited CFS students to attend an exclusive, complimentary screening of Michael Mann's motorsports biopic Ferrari, at the Curzon Soho Theatre on Thursday 18th January. It will consist of welcome drinks from 6 o'clock, with the screening itself starting at 6:40pm. After the screening there will be networking until 11pm. This great event MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE, and has limited availability. ONE TICKET may be booked per CFS student (sorry, no plus-ones this time). The deadline to book onto this is Tuesday 9th January. It will be first come first served, and tickets will be booked according to remaining availability from the organisers. DATE: 16th October TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A Facilitated by Alice Coyle, Student Counsellor. This is a practical workshop to help you understand more about how anxiety, perfectionism and procrastination can get in the way of getting stuff done. Whether you are a starter or into your final year after, It is timed to help you prepare for your first written assignment and set you up for the year ahead, without all the angst that can really hold you back from enjoying your college studies and life. You may feel that no one else struggles as much as you do over getting work submitted. By sharing ideas and tips together in small groups of 2 or 3, you may be surprised by how much you have in common with your fellow students and how much you can learn from each other.

DATE: Tuesday 25th June TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A One of the first and most-important British LGBT+ films ever made,  My Beautiful Laundrette helped open discussion about gay identity, and is also influential in its portrayal not just of an LGBT+ couple, but of an inter-racial couple as well. Daniel Day-Lewis came storming into the world of cinema with his role as Johnny, a hardened street punk hiding his true identity. Director Stephen Frears captures the mood and vibe of Thatcher-era London, creating a time-capsule of a distant world we're unfamiliar with. Book your tickets in advance.
