It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. However, having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff! The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. The comprehensive 1-day First aid at work course is ideal for those who need to be certified to be a first aider. The comprehensive 3-day First aid at work course is ideal for those who need to be certified to be a first aider in higher-risk working environments. First aiders are trained by a competent training provider in: • emergency first aid at work (EFAW) – at this level they're qualified to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work • first aid at work (FAW) – qualified to EFAW level but can also apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses

The HSE approved qualification is a three-day course that provides individuals and businesses with the knowledge and skills they require to remain compliant with workplace First Aid training. The course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021. This course is aimed at individuals and businesses where the risks are higher and there is a requirement for employees to hold a great level qualification.
