The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) is the largest European network of national, regional and local networks, involving anti-poverty NGOs and grassroot groups as well as European Organisations, active in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. It was established in 1990. At present, EAPN is a network of 31 national networks of voluntary organisations and grassroots groups and 13 European organisations. See our members’ page. The membership of EAPN is involved in a variety of activities aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion including, education and training activities, service provision and activities aimed at the participation and empowerment of people experiencing poverty and social exclusion. Together, the membership of EAPN aims to put the fight against poverty high on the agenda of the EU and to ensure cooperation at EU level aimed at the eradication of poverty and social exclusion. Our work is carried out by our members, split into specific statutory entities and task forces. These groups feed into our European level work their national perspectives, individual expertise or the specific focus of the European organisation they are affiliated to. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF Founded in 1995, we are an all-age special school in the heart of Cleveland. Kilton Thorpe School converted to an Academy in 2012 and became Kilon Thorpe Specialist (KTS) Academy. Judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in May 2022, we welcome pupils aged 4 to 19 with an Education, Health and Care Plans which states a learning difficulty or disability. This can include children on the autistic spectrum and children with complex needs. With 170 pupils and over 100 teaching and support staff, we have high levels of staffing to ensure that all pupils receive excellent care, guidance and support. A multi-disciplinary team, which includes specially trained staff in nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, work closely alongside our school staff to ensure that pupils make the progress they are able to make. Our facilities include Early Years Foundation Stage provision, a thriving 14-19 unit and specialist provision for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, as well as those with an autistic spectrum condition. In addition, we are proud of our specialist resources, which include a hydrotherapy pool, soft play area, ICT suite, sensory integration rooms and sensory light rooms. KTS Academy is a Unicef Rights Respecting School and achieved the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award in 2022.

Hi I'm Lauren, Designer, Maker and Founder of Lauren Holloway - Sustainable Bags & Accessories handmade in Bristol. My journey started in 2013 when I dug out a dusty vintage Singer sewing machine and taught myself how to make bags. I created my first collection from the bedroom of my flat, opened an Etsy shop and the rest is history! I love the whole process of designing and making - from coming up with the initial idea to handpicking each element from fabrics to hardware, focusing not only on functionality but on aesthetics and originality. My aim is to create beautiful products that are made with care and attention to detail with a focus on sustainable and ethical manufacturing. I have always been inspired by my travels around the globe, especially the beautiful patterns of Japan and the bold, colourful fabrics of Bali. My aim is to create sustainable, unique and practical bags that reflect your values and bring a little sunshine into your world! I really hope you enjoy using my products as much I enjoy designing and making them. You might have known me as Maybe Mabel in the past. In September 2021 I changed my business name, you can read about the change over on the blog post.

I’m Asha, the founder of mindAbility Hypnotherapy based in Solihull in the West Midlands. I trained with the prestigious Clifton Practice which is internationally recognised as a leading training provider. My qualification is accredited by the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) and recognised as meeting the professional standards set by the NHS. My practice is governed by standards set by the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). I’m also a registered practitioner with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). My previous experience of working with people spans over 17 years in the Criminal Justice System. I have worked with clients with numerous issues including mental health, addictions, and many more. I immediately enjoyed this role and supporting change in challenging circumstances. My experience has developed my communication and listening skills without judgement and observing with an open mind. Like many people, my interest began following a personal experience that challenged my resilience. Hypnotherapy was a positive life-affirming and healing process. I’ve seen many wonderful outcomes and positive, life-affirming and healing processes. I’ve seen many wonderful outcomes and positive changes for clients, this includes children (I hold a full DBS check). The achievements of clients inspire my commitment to the process of changing lives for the better.

Before I began my training in Shiatsu, I trained for 20 years in a Chinese martial art called Southern Shaolin Five Ancestors. This has contributed in enhancing my awareness of self, and sensing subtle changes in others, an aspect that is used within Zen Shiatsu. I trained at the London College of Shiatsu and successfully attained diploma as a Zen Shiatsu practitioner. As a professional practitioner, I am an insured member of the register of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS) and also registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). These bodies guarantee professional standards of practise. After many years working for record labels in London and around the globe, Ruth wanted to build a welcoming yoga community in one of the most beautiful parts of the English countryside. Ruth completed her teacher training in London under Dylan Ayaloo. Her teaching style is Vinyasa Power Yoga influenced by Baron Baptiste and Forrest Yoga. As well as 200 hr teacher training, Ruth has also completed workshops in Anatomy & Kinesiology and Body Psychotherapy, lead by Forrest Yoga Guardians. Ruth is also a qualified pre-natal, post-natal and mum and baby yoga teacher having studied under Sally Parkes. Ruth's qualifications are Yoga Alliance registered. She is insured and qualified in first aid.
