Suitable for Yoga teachers and Yoga students wishing to gain a deeper understanding. Take time for yourself this Autumn. Unwind, restore and connect to your deeper self in the cosy studio of the Printworks in Tavistock high street. This will be a personal exploration experience of learning what is going on for you, messages from the body, and how you can bring more balance into your life. Deeply nurturing and restorative, recalibrating the nervous system. Complete time for you. We will move through restorative and Yin asanas, and take our time to release old deep tensions in the body. To let go of what no longer serves us and feel restored, ready for the Spring energy ahead. Please bring your yoga mat, warm clothing, a blanket, a pillow or two and if you have one, a bolster. About your tutor: Gemma Williams, your Yoga tutor, has been teaching yoga since 2009. She has travelled worldwide to learn from different yoga backgrounds. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an Experienced advanced teacher (E-RYT 500) and as a Yoga alliance continuing education provider (YACEP).

1 DAY FABRIC PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to fabric screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some tea towels or cushion covers with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4:00pm (subject to class size) with a 30 min break for lunch. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll decide on colours and select print pastes and go through the process of setting up the fabric tables ready for printing. When the screens are dry everyone will have a go at printing their fabric. Each person will walk away with 1 metre of fabric printed with their own 1 or 2 colour design. Outcome You will take away 1 meter of fabric with an experimental 1 to 2 colour printed design. — To book please scroll through the calendar and click the available date (highlighted in green) that you’d like to attend. All materials are provided including white/natural fabric, if you’d like to supply you own fabric please check with us first to make sure that it’s suitable for screen printing with our inks. Learn to sew a child's garment in this long (6 hours ish) day class. I stock the Two Stitches patterns (https://www.twostitchespatterns.com/printed-patterns-1) and one of these is included in your class fee. I also have patterns for quite a few simple baby and toddler garments you can use. Once you ket me know what you want to make and what size I will let you know how much and what kind of fabric you need and what else you need to bring. This is a fairly high paced class so you need to be ok with threading up etc aline and know how to make seams, backstitch etc. The sewing won't be complex but we won't have time to explain how a machine works. If you are not sure please do a beginners or refresher's class first.

Learn to applique, learn what tools and tricks you need to really make this work for you. Also get to grips with the really free and artistic free motion machine embroidery technique. Set your machine free to draw with it, combined with applique you can make stunning art! This is a very practical and hands on class which will see you appliqueing & free motion stitching in no time, the techniques are easily mastered so you can spend your time creating. Part of a 4 day quilting course, but suitable as a stand alone course too.

Right before Christmas, NYE and holidays will make some of us more lazy, I am happy to invite you to practice with me the first of the last two Yin Practice for this 2022. What is Yin Yoga? Yin Yoga is a Yoga style based on keeping positions (or "asanas") for an extended period of time, allowing us to reach and deepen the union between our body and our mind. Learn how to measure, cut and stitch accurate patchwork quilt blocks in this one day workshop. Part of a 4 day quilt course, but suitable as a stand alone class too. This class is a great class to take after the beginners class as the sewing will be mostly straight lines and it will allow you to practice more seams and other skills learned in the beginners class. You will need to know how to handle a sewing machine for this class but it's very much still a class that's achievable for beginners. You will cover design, measuring, cutting, the use of various tools, and stitching.
