An excellent choice if you’re looking to make a bag, pattern cutting, discuss your ideas or bag designs, or to engage in consultancy for your business. What to expect No matter your leather crafting dreams or goals, 1-2-1 tuition has you covered. Time: Sessions run from 10am - 4pm. There will be a light lunch served at midday and tea/ coffee breaks throughout. Location: Sessions can be run online or from the Workshop of Hands Of Tym in Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 9DH. Parking: Parking is available on the drive with easy access via the M40. Transport: Banbury train station is a 30 min walk. Trains run from both London Marylebone and Birmingham to Banbury in 50 minutes. We’re also well connected to Reading, Oxford, and Leamington Spa. What's included in the price? There will be a selection of leather and hardware colours for you to choose from on the day or you may bring your own to use. Following a varied career in Accessories design and development across many roles and international brands I set up Hands of Tym in 2016. The courses I offer are suitable for all, from experienced to total novice. Come along to learn something new, and design and make your own leather bag in a day.

This HTML course will provide you with an easy to follow, hands-on introduction to HTML and CSS, the basic coding languages which drive the internet. Participants will learn how to create an attractive and well-structured web page using basic HTML and CSS. This workshop is highly recommended for anyone wishing to learn how to create websites and also for people who already use applications such as Dreamweaver or WordPress and need more control over their web output.

Students who complete the PV201L workshop will be able to: Perform power and energy calculations Obtain and apply specifications for PV modules and determine their performance given various environmental and operating conditions Safely operate various types of digital multimeters Diagram and determine the power, current, and voltage characteristics of PV modules in different series and parallel configurations Install various mounting systems (ground, pole, roof, and trackers). Decipher balance-of-system equipment specification sheets to determine the critical information needed for system design Install a residential grid-direct system including the array, inverter, circuit conductors, and overcurrent protection Safely operate equipment grounding, system grounding, and components and conductors used for grounding Work with wires and components on schematics of residential grid-direct systems: disconnects, inverter, equipment grounding conductors, ungrounded conductors, grounded conductors, the grounding electrode(s), and the AC and DC system grounds Identify potential safety hazards and demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment for working on grid-direct PV systems List the order of installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of a grid-direct PV system Note: This class is a great complement to PV301L, the Solar Electric Lab Week (Battery-Based).

You will have your very own solid jewellers workbench to work on to complete your projects and your own tool kit meaning you won’t have to wait for tools. Your bench is also equipped with its own pendant motor. In the workshop you will also find soldering equipment on each bench, a wide range of professional stone setting tools for various stone setting styles, a wide range of hand tools, texturing tools, a rolling mill, a hydraulic press, polishing equipment, dapping tools and punches, all of which will allow you the chance to create your designs within a professional setting. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: You must be enrolled on our term time class or summer term or have experience. CLASS SIZE: 7 WHAT IS INCLUDED? All tools and consumables are supplied Please bring refreshments The cost of this course does not include materials. WHAT TO BRING: For safety reasons, during each class, you are required to wear appropriate footwear, we request that no open toed shoes are worn within Workshop 925. Long hair should also be tied back when working with the equipment. You may also wish to bring a notebook. We have handouts for many demonstrations, but there are always many tips and tricks given verbally by the tutor, which some might like to keep note of. Please bring any PPE, snacks and drinks to each session. We regret we can’t offer tea and coffee at the moment due to Coronavirus.
