Alongside assisting Darley on his list of authors, Rebeka is building her own list of romance and romantasy authors, specifically for the BookTok hungry new adult/20+ markets. For those writing romantasy, Rebeka is looking for books that strike the perfect balance of romance, pace, action and world-building, with series potential. Collage is a way of creating a visual work of art by combining different elements - be they found images, patterns, bits of text, textured papers - in new and sometimes unexpected ways. This workshop, which will be delivered via Zoom, is suitable for absolute beginners - no previous experience with collage required! Julie will provide step-by-step demonstrations and guide you through making your own series of collage faces. To prepare for the workshop, you’ll start collecting various bits of paper that you come across in your daily life. This can include newspapers and magazines, flyers, advertisements, packaging, photos, gift wrap, instruction sheets, pretty much anything! One of the things we love about collage is repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in the recycling bin. In the workshop, you'll arrange and combine these collected items to create unique pieces of art.
