We are beyond excited about our first-ever Arienas Collective exhibition! The exhibition is taking place in the Scot-ART Gallery 1 on the 3rd floor of St Margaret’s House, 151 London Road, Edinburgh EH7 6AE from Saturday, 24 - Saturday, 31 May 2025 and is open from 11am-5pm each day. In this 1.5 hour, one-to-one brand design surgery you will discuss: your business idea; a brief to create your brand identity; and how you will apply your brand to ensure you have a recognisable 'look' across all your digital and printed products and marketing materials - everything from packaging to social media, and business cards to aprons. NEW Learn how to make a festive-themed wreath using mosaic on this one-day, beginner-friendly workshop with Edinburgh mosaic maker Jacky Cox of Mossy Mosaic. Make a wreath that won't wilt! Jacky will show you how to safely cut iridescent (shiny) glass and vitreous (swimming pool) tiles. The session will start with guided tuition to get you started. Once you have completed the first section you will be free to work on your own design, using colours and glass nuggets of your choosing. You will learn how to grout your creation, and be provided with a D-ring for hanging your finished wreath at home. This workshop is suitable for beginners, but also perfect for those who have already attended Jacky's introductory workshop and would now like to try to gain more experience by working with glass. All the materials to make your gorgeous wreath are provided. Earth conscious credentials We are mindful of the effect we have on the environment, and do our best to minimise our impact. You will take the lovely products you have created home with you on the day, and workshop correspondence and notes are sent to you electronically. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. The Sussex Baby Lab is a team of researchers at the University of Sussex who conduct fun and friendly experiments with babies to understand how they see, think and learn.  They are joined by Nicola Wallis from the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and Anna Murray from National Galleries Scotland – Modern One, Edinburgh, who will talk about their work with babies and their parents/carers.   The session will help you to:  understand the importance of this work gain an insight into how babies see, think and learn in museum spaces think about how to develop provision for babies in your organisation gain inspiration from case studies to take your own work forward take away top tips to inform your practice.
