The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a stone therapy massage specialist. This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a stone therapy massage specialist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty or complementary therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a stone therapy massage specialist including, three mandatory units covering the following: applying stone massage therapy, health and safety and client care. Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and massage products. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the body, use a stone heater and place stones and provide relaxing massage treatments using basalt stones and a variety of techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

The VTCT Skills Level 3 Award in Lash Extensions is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to apply individual permanent lashes. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, and how to promote client care and communication in beauty related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

This course provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental issues. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively. It is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on Build UK sites. Aims To give a clear understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental legislation that affects your supervisory role. To help you fulfil your responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare, and the environment. To help you implement new guidance and industry best practice affected by changes. Course Content • Health and safety law and how it will apply to supervisors. • Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safety. • Risk assessments and the need for method statements. • Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. • Monitoring site activities effectively. • Timely intervention when bad practice is identified. Prerequisites This course is for you if you are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. Assessment At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of controlling health and safety on site from a supervisor’s role. Certificate This certification for this course is valid for 5 years and is endorsed by Build UK as a standard training for all supervisors. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken. Our VTCT Beauty Therapy Course Level 2 is the foundation to start your beauty career, once completed you can then advance to our VTCT Beauty Therapy Course level 3. This qualification will provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a beauty therapist. Throughout this qualification you will learn your responsibility and knowledge to reduce any risks to health and safety, promote additional services or products to clients, develop and maintain your effectiveness at work, provide facial skincare treatment, enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes, carry out waxing services and provide pedicure and manicure services. You will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on your occupational competence.

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist including, units covering the following: providing body massage, health and safety, anatomy and physiology and client care. Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

Our Level 3 Certificate in Thai Massage is a qualification specifically designed to develop your practical skills in providing relaxing and stress-relieving body massage treatments. Underpinning this qualification you will create a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication. Online E-learning training for health and safety training. This online training course fulfils most business requirements for providing some health and safety training in the workplace as set out in both the Health and safety Act and some of the Health and Safety Regulations.

Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.  This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering: Adult resuscitation (CPR) Burns and scalds Choking adult Communication and casualty care Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement Minor and severe bleeding Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) Seizures Shock Unresponsive adult Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.
