Sterling Silver Bangle Workshop For Complete Beginners. A day to learn some basic silver jewellery making techniques and create your own bangles. Learn to use basic tools and techniques to form and texture, hammered or waved bangles to completion. Going home with beautifuly finished items of jewellery. The ticket price covers the cost of tuition and all precious and non precious practice materials. Whilst soldering experience is not necessary, a basic understanding of soldering and forming metal would be advantageous, enabling you more time to focus on your design. However, we practice simple soldering techniques, for those with little or no experience. To ensure that all abilities are catered for. On the day you will design and make gorgeous sterling silver bangles. You will be guided through a variety of techniques. You can choose from a variety of designs to make two bangles. You can choose to make hammered textures, using small specialised hammers. Twisted wire bangles. Waved or plain round bangles or a combination of two designs. If you wish, these can be joined together with a large jump ring. Price includes all precious materials, practice materials & instruction. We also include light refreshments of hot and cold drinks with plenty of cake and biscuits throughout the day. Please note, this ticket is your deposit and is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. We reserve the right to cancel the event if we do not have a minimum of 3 people, in which case your payment will be fully refunded. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the classes are limited to six people. You will have quality time to ask any questions you might have, and guided help along the way. Suitable for complete beginners and limited to adults only. You will be provided with an apron and safety glasses but please wear workshop appropriate clothing on the day (no open toe shoes or loose clothing) for your safety. There are different texture and forming tools to choose from, to make your bangle combinations unique to you. We cover a range of basic silversmithing techniques in this workshop so it really is a great introduction to working with silver. Who is it for? Beginners onwards. What will I learn? You'll learn the basics of jewellery making, including annealing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping, forming, texturing and polishing. What's included? We provide all the equipment and materials you will need including the sterling silver to make your bangles. Tea, coffee and cake are also included on the day. What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them. Also to keep you safe it's best to wear closed toed shoes, tie long hair back and avoid loose flapping clothing. This comprehensive two-day sleep workshop provides healthcare professionals with an understanding of a wide range of common childhood sleep difficulties and sleep disorders . We explore up-to-date evidence and science based strategies to enable participants to support families struggling with their with pre-school children and for children with SEND. Throughout the two days we use real-life case studies enabling delegates to assess and plan gentle and responsive interventions for a range of child sleep problems and sleep disorders. We have developed the workshop content and delivery to be highly engaging, interactive and relevant to all community staff working with families with young children experiencing sleep problems. Child focused and firmly grounded in research and evidence-based practice our training follows the Baby Friendly Initiative. In this workshop you will be making a luxury Xmas wreath, start by making a large  round base from freshly harvested willow you can then build your wreath using a combination of different greenery, dried oranges, lime, grapefruit, apple, star anise, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, fir cones, juniper, holly, ivy and much more. Your wreath will smell and look fabulous. Festive snacks and a glass of mulled wine  included.

Fast Beginners Balboa Workshop with Simon Selmon Learn this popular 1930s Swing dance. Join Simon, one of the first UK Balboa dancers of the Swing resurgence and learn the basics you need to dance the Balboa and how to incorporate it into your Lindy Hop or Jive. Spaces on our workshops and courses are limited so that our creative team of artists and makers can offer you the hands-on help and support you need to make the most of your time with us. Our taster and introductory workshops focus on teaching creative skills and methods you can continue practising at home, using affordable materials and equipment. Where more expensive equipment is required we will mention this in the workshop description. All the equipment and materials you need are included in the price, unless stated otherwise. Light refreshments from local suppliers are provided. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat inside or out. There is also a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, cafés, and restaurants, plus a range of supermarkets all within a 5-10 minute walk. Accessibility The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement. Allergies The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative. Minimum number no refund policy To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund. We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible.
