We invite you to join us for a floral experience, creating a beautiful arrangement you can take home and learning a new skill. Our team of professionals will take you through basic mechanics, colour coordination, types of blooms.  To add to your experience we will have treats and a glass of sparkling wine or non-alcoholic cocktail. Spend your Friday night learning something new in our beautiful studio located in Angel.  You will leave with a gorgeous two-piece arrangement, two dinner candles and a sense of fulfilment.

This year, we will be hosting our summer school Monday 31st July-Friday 4th August, 9am-4pm at our studio: GDA, Unit 16 Paper Mill End, B44 8NH. Each day, children will participate in a range of performing arts, including dancing, singing, drama and arts and crafts all around the theme of Roald Dahl's Matilda. We hope to put on a mini performance on the Friday afternoon which parents are invited to watch. This is open to ALL CHILDREN aged 6-13 years. The cost to members is £25 per day or £90 for all 5 days. Children should wear their own comfortable clothing and can either bring a packed lunch or pre-order a hot dinner for £2. Hot food must be requested at least 7 days prior to the summer school starting and will vary each day but be items such as pizza and chips / burger and chips / jacket potatoes etc. Places will be limited but, going by previous years, extremely popular. To secure a place, please contact us clearly stating which date/s you would like. Individual days must be paid in full at time of booking. If you would like to do all 5 days, we request 50% at time of booking with the balance due 14th July. 

Huddersfield-based artist Puy Soden is offering an exciting new buon fresco painting workshop in Crafters Cottage, Honley, near Holmfirth, West Yorkshire this June. In Puy’s hands-on workshop you’re invited to experience specialist materials and methods, similar to those used by Michelangelo over 500 years ago for his incredible Sistine Chapel ceiling in Rome. Learn an ancient painting method and create your own beautiful fresco artworks on tiles for your home and garden.

These sessions are created for students eager to explore more complex texts and refine their analytical skills. Students will enhance their ability to critically evaluate literature, comparing themes and characters across a wide range of texts. They'll advance their creative and non-fiction writing, taking it to the next level by focusing on sophisticated language use and technical accuracy. through engaging discussions around fascinating topics, such as moral issues and social contexts, students will develop their oral communication. The overall aim of thios course is to deepen their love of language in an enjoyable environment. 6 children maximum fully interactive weekly 55 minute lessons qualified, expert teacher optional homework set weekly additional resources set via online classroom lesson recordings for absent students written progress reports three times per year Classes are £90 per month. Students will enhance their reading and analytical skills through studying a variety of texts, including novels, plays and poetry from different genres and historical periods. They’ll develop their creative and non-fiction writing abilities, focusing on grammar, punctuation and effective communication. In addition, students will engage in discussions, improving their spoken English and listening skills.
