Duration 3 Days 18 CPD hours This course is intended for Team leaders, managers, executives, and other business and IT professionals who lead others as well as Individual contributors ready for transformational self-development as a leader. Overview Recognize vulnerability as the emotion we feel during times of uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure. Explain why courage requires vulnerability. Establish a link between what I learned and behaviors I want to change. Recognize the critical role that self-awareness plays in daring leadership. Give examples to support how armor - not fear -is the greatest obstacle to daring leadership. Identify the four skill sets that make up courage: rumbling with vulnerability, living into our values, BRAVING trust, and learning to rise. Recognize that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are measurable, observable, and teachable. Recognize that vulnerability is the birthplace of many of the behaviors that define daring leadership, including creativity, accountability, and difficult conversations. Give examples of why daring leadership requires showing up for hard conversations and rumbles, including giving and receiving feedback. This workshop is all about your own leadership self-awareness, identifying your call to courage as a leader and the learning, practice and integration of the four courage skills sets so you can show up authentically in life and leadership. Dare to Lead? is the ultimate playbook for developing brave leaders and courageous cultures. The greatest barrier to daring leadership is not fear; the greatest obstacle is armor ? how we self-protect when we feel uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure. Learn the skills to move from armored leadership to daring leadership. Daring leaders are self-aware, know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, build trust, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback. This interactive curriculum is delivered in five, half-day sessions and is based on the research by Brenâ Brown. This course comes with a PDF workbook and an Amazon gift card to purchase the Dare to Lead? book in the version of your choice. Our Unconscious Bias and Microaggressions: Creating Cultural Awareness in You and Your World Everyone is unique, and we all see and interact differently with the world around us. Our upbringings, our relationships, our communities, and the culture that we are a part of are just some of the elements that influence our worldview and our own cultural bubble. Most people have some understanding of unconscious bias, but the term 'microaggression' may be less known to some. When heading into this presentation, it is relevant to keep in mind that due to our cultural bubbles, we all hold unconscious biases within us and that many of us have displayed microaggressions towards others. What is also true is that, most likely, everyone has been on the receiving end of such behavior whether you realize it or not. This session will set you up to become more aware of your own (and others') unconscious biases and microaggressions through words, thoughts, and impact - and how You can take action. Examining the communities where we live and the organizations where we work, we will discover how to recognize and handle the intentional and unintentional biases that prevail all around us to help contribute and create a safer personal and work environment. We will learn: What is unconscious bias? What is a microaggression and is it really micro? Where do unconscious bias and microaggressions come from? Cultural self-awareness starts with you and your world Microaggression Giver: Being responsible for your impact Microaggression Receiver: When to talk about it or walk away?

Description A conflict is a disagreement or argument that is usually serious and protracted in nature. Every person is unique with his own ideas and opinions. Therefore, it is only natural that when two or more people get involved in an activity, disagreements are bound to rise. As long as people respect the ideas and opinions of others and don't find it difficult to follow the ideas that contradict the ones they hold, everything will move smoothly. A disagreement becomes a real conflict when people not only stick to their own beliefs and opinions but also refuse to cordially agree to differ. Workplaces usually provide a divergent environment where people of unalike natures meet and collaborate. Disagreements with co-workers can be seen everywhere, be it in an office, retail store, factory, or non-profit organization. If the workplace provides a setting for at least two people, differences in opinions are bound to arise. This is admissible until the differences and disagreements lead to a conflict. Conflicts can create a difficult atmosphere for all parties involved in it. This can further lead to a reduction in their performance level and waste of valuable resources like time. Conflicts if kept unresolved for a long time can be disastrous to the existence of the business. Nonetheless, not all aspects of conflict are harmful. Handled the right way, conflict can actually create positive changes and make way for new opportunities in your business. Successful conflict resolution is, however, not always easy unless you have exceptional management skills. Conflict Resolution Diploma addresses the common causes of conflict at workplaces and discusses how to resolve them with effective mediation and philosophy. Conflict Resolution Diploma offers a great opportunity for managers to effectively cope with conflict arising between peers or involving subordinates and superiors.
