NQT TRAINING – BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

In line with OFSTED expectations make sure NQTs are up to speed on effective behaviour management and relationship building in the classroom. Course Category Behaviour and Relationships Meeting emotional needs Inclusion Description This is our lead workshop/training day on behaviour and relationship work aimed at NQTs. Recent OFSTED changes make Behaviour and Classroom management of NQTs a particular focus for inspections. Are your NQTs teaching the behaviours children need to succeed? Can they articulate these behaviours? This training provides a values primer and a practical guide to successful innovative strategies for improving behaviour and strengthening relationships for challenging children and young people of all ages. Not just another day on ‘Behaviour Management’ – our day goes well beyond a rewards and sanctions approach to ‘behaviour’. We will be focused on those young people for whom rewards and punishments do not always work and who confuse the adults who work with them. We aim to take a relationships based approach and to give those attending an opportunity to think more deeply about why young people do the things they do and what our part as adults is in creating, sustaining and changing these behaviours. The day gives those present opportunities to reflect on their attitudes and practice in relation to children’s behaviour and relationship building. If your usual approaches to managing behaviour aren’t working with particular individuals then take a tour through this range of cutting edge strategies for bringing about positive behaviour change, and for meeting challenging emotional needs. LEVEL 3: Fair Value Analysis

This online course introduces a model for determining and analysing market value vs fair value of an individual art work. LEVEL 3: Fair Value Analysis This is the third online course in our 'Pathway to become an art market analyst'. This course is a building block on both Big Data and the Art Market (Level 1) and Artist Market Analysis (Level 2), and takes the participant on an analytical journey to establish the market value and the fair value of an individual art object. The analysis is based on the Damien Hirst data provided in Level 2: Artist Market Analysis, and it is important that you finish this course before going on to Level 3. The course introduces participants to the difference between market value and fair value, and provides a practical guide for using market trends to analyse and adjust comparable transactions, and to use this to help establish market value. The ArtTactic Market Metrics from Level 2: Artist Market Analysis, is brought into the analysis to establish the 'Fair Value' of the art work. In addition to this, we will provide a 15 minute online Excel workshop on how to analyse comparable transactions using a subset of the data provided in the Level 2 online course. In addition to providing private therapy services, she supervises CBT Therapists working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including the NHS; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS); schools; and private practices. Professor Patrick McGhee Professor Patrick McGhee is a CBT therapist, psychologist and UK National Teaching Fellow. Educated at the universities of Glasgow and Oxford, he has completed CPD programmes at Harvard Business School and Ashridge. In 2017 he was a Visiting Fellow/Scholar at the universities of Cornell, Yale and MIT in the USA. He has taught, researched or practised in psychology and therapy for 30 years. His first post was a Research Fellow in Psychiatry and Psychology at St George's Hospital Medical School, University of London. He is the author of Thinking Psychologically (Palgrave) and co-editor of Accounting for Relationships (Methuen). He is an occasional columnist for the Guardian, the BBC and the Times Higher.
