Discernment is not something that we ‘do’ at certain moments of decision in life. Rather it is the stance we should assume in every aspect of life and can be articulated in the question ‘how am I centred and responsive to God?’

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) is a 1 day course designed to prepere you for worst case scenarios with children and babies. 
1 day face to face 9am untill 4pm 

Paediatric First Aid Blended (PFAB) is a 2 day course covering everything from EPFA above and adding on a range of additional conditions and injuries you may need to deal with when caring for children. 
2 days, 1 online in your own time and 1 classroom day 9am to 5.15 pm

First Aid Training is a relaxed and enjoyable day, assessment will not be stressful, we aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple choice assessments for First Aid qualifications. She previously volunteered at the Story Museum in Oxford.Camille loves engaging with narratives on a structural level in order to draw out their best qualities. She has varied taste with a particular interest in children&rsquo;s and YA fiction and non-fiction, as well as adult non-fiction. In MG, she would love to see stories with heart and with a classic, lyrical tone, in the vein of Katya Balen, or with the inventiveness of Frances Hardinge or the action-packed sequences and acerbic wit of Jonathan Stroud. In YA she is looking for all genres whether they be on the more literary or commercial sides, but with an emphasis on romance. She would also be interested in seeing crossover romance, be that contemporary or fantasy, and stories featuring characters in their very early twenties.Camille would love to see proposals for smart and accessible non-fiction (children&rsquo;s or adult) which teach us about the world we live in, which shine a light on a culture (encompassing everything including workplace culture), which are empowering or which encourage deep thinking and fundamental shifts in perspective. She is not currently looking for memoir unless it is also doing one of these things. Prior to joining DKW in 2023, Camille worked at David Higham Associates as Agent’s Assistant to Jane Gregory and in the Children’s Translation Rights team. LOOKING FOR: ADULT FICTION, SCIENCE FICTION / FANTASY

After several years spent within publishing houses Bookouture, Canelo, Avon, One More Chapter and Head of Zeus, Hannah Todd became a Literary Agent at the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency, before joining Janklow & Nesbit in January 2025. Her clients include Kirsty Greenwood, Charlie Gallagher and Leah Mercer.

Hannah is keen to see commercial fiction across the board, but with a particular focus on romance, Science Fiction/Fantasy & mystery novels. She is drawn to books with exemplary characterisation, voice and strength of feeling. But don't let your characterisation overshadow the need for impeccable plot and if you can make her laugh or cry then you're onto a winner! 

Across the full light-dark spectrum Hannah especially loves SFF that features an unlikely band of heroes, like the Six of Crows series by Leigh Bardugo, Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard series, Becky Chambers' The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, T. Kingfisher's Nettle and Bone,and  the cosy themes/settings offered by Heather Fawcett and TJ Klune.

Hannah's advice is make sure you have a clear USP and hook: If you are sending your reader to a magical academy, or if we're riding dragons or waving wands, that's great! But what makes your book feel different and fresh? An excellent voice is key, but what else makes your take on these tropes stand out? An example of a phenomenal book that has turned the magical academy trope on its head, with layers of excellent world building, a unique magic system and plot twists galore is The Will of the Many by James Islington. If you have something crafted this beautifully then Hannah wants to see it!

Romantasy of varying spice levels, accessible to both romance and fantasy readers, is on Hannah's wishlist. And you can whisk her away with contemporary romance novels, romcoms, sweeping love stories that redefine the genre. Romcoms with great disability rep and LGBTQIA+ stories that focus on the joy of falling in love are high on Hannah's agenda. She particularly loves Emily Henry, Laura Wood and Abby Jiminez. Think more Nicholas Sparks than Sally Rooney, and Bonnie Garmus rather than Gabrielle Zevin. In this space, she is a big fan of Emma Donoghue, Bonnie Garmus and Jojo Moyes.

Meet with Hannah to discuss your crime and high-concept thrillers with an unsettling ‘it-could-happen-to-me’ feeling, coupled with a twist that's unseen until its delivery. The book she most wants to find in this space is something like Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton in both its themes (real-world emotional suspense) and its execution. A mystery series that feels like a real 'romp' is something she loves to escape with too.

Our CITB Online - Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course is designed to give attendees a broad reminder of their responsibilities for health and safety on construction sites. Approved and endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group, the SSSTS refresher course is a must for anyone who occupies a supervisory role on UKCG sites and wants to brush up on their knowledge of their legal responsibilities and the latest construction industry regulations.
The SSSTS Refresher course has been created to provide existing supervisors, or those who are just entering into a supervisory role, with in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures. If a candidate completed a full SSSTS training course up to 5 years ago, they will be required to attend a refresher programme.
Prerequisites
SSSTS certificates are of course valid for up to 5 years, but due to the ever-changing nature of the industry, it is recommended that staff stay up to date by enrolling on a refresher course long before the qualification expires.
Instructions
Please note all Site Supervisor Training courses with the venue “Remote Learning” will be delivered by a tutor over a video call.
This training will be delivered and assessed in English language; therefore, a good standard is required to complete the course.

Site Supervisor Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher

This one-day course is a must for anyone considering or already working within a construction or civil engineering environment. This course provides Health and Safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as a standard training for all operatives on site.
Aims
To give a clear understanding of Regulations & Legislation that applies to construction work and is an ideal refresher for any operative that has previously completed training in Health & Safety.
Course Content
• Accident prevention
• Health & Safety law
• Control and management of the site and your how your role fits in with this
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Performing safely on site
• Reporting unsafe acts to prevent an accident
• Individual & employee responsibilities
• What to do if you think anyone’s Health and Safety is being put at risk
Assessment
At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Legislation and their responsibilities to comply with them.
Candidates will need to complete a multiple-choice exam at the end of the CITB course. They will also need to engage and interact with others throughout the day.
Certificate
This certification for this course is valid for 5 years and is endorsed by Build UK as a standard training for all operatives. The certificate is part of CSCS Green Card requirements.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date or have completed an NVQ2 or higher in your skills set.
