Fun, Interactive Level 3 Emergency First Aid (RQF) training course

3 Hours Description: This 3 hour course provides your first aiders with the opportunity to practice and update their practical skills, refresh theoretical knowledge and ensures that they are kept up to date with the latest first aid guidelines. Assessment and Certification Students are continuously assessed throughout the course. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and care of the unconscious requires physical effort. Learners should be capable of working with casualties at floor level. Certificates are issued on all first aid courses which includes the annual refresher course date. The HSE strongly recommend that all First Aiders undertake annual refresher training of at least 3 hours per year. Course Details Any persons carrying out non-licensed works with asbestos containing materials, as laid down in CAR 2012, Reg 3(2). This would normally include, but is not limited to, trade operatives such as demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, shop fitters, plasterers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, computer installers, fire and burglar alarm installers, architects, building surveyors and other such professionals or any other persons likely to disturb and carry out work on asbestos containing materials as defined in CAR 2012.

P404 Air Sampling of Asbestos and MMMF and Requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation Following Clearance of Asbestos is the industry standard qualification for those whose work involves air sampling and clearance testing, such as asbestos analysts. In addition to holding the qualification, they are required to undertake and provide evidence of annual refresher training. RP404 Refresher is a new course, specifically designed to meet this requirement. RP404 Refresher enables candidates to revise and update their knowledge on air sampling and clearance testing techniques, and to receive a certificate of course completion by passing a written examination, which covers both the theory and practice of air sampling and clearance testing.

P405 Managing Asbestos in Buildings is the industry standard qualification for those whose work involves asbestos management, such as duty holders and building managers. In addition to holding the qualification, they are required to undertake and provide evidence of annual refresher training. RP405 Refresher is a new course, specifically designed to meet this requirement. RP405 Refresher enables candidates to revise and update their knowledge on good asbestos management practices, and to receive a certificate of course completion by passing a written examination, which covers both the theory and practice of managing asbestos in buildings.

The First Aid at Work (FAW) is the highest and most widely recognised first aid qualification.

NRSWA Streetworks Operative The NRSWA operative course is for anyone who wants to undertake physical work on roads within the UK. Including excavation, back-fill, reinstatement, signing, guarding and using tarmac and cold-lay materials. NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor The NRSWA streetworks supervisor training is for people moving in to a supervisor role. A streetworks supervisor is only allowed to monitor the activities of a streetworks operative and cannot undertake any physical work. On every live site, for operatives to carry out work there must legally be a streetworks supervisor present. Please note: a person can have both the operative and supervisor qualifications which will allow them to supervise and carry out physical operative work at the same time. Previous experience of working on street works or on roads would assist the candidates but it is not essential.

This course provides the delegate with the theoretical and practical skills to undertake non-licensed works with ACM's. Persons requiring this type of training would include trade operatives undertaking tasks with ACM's as defined in HSG210 and in accordance with CAR 2012 Reg 3(2). In addition to the Asbestos Awareness, those employees whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, and which is defined as non-licensable work or NNLW, should receive additional task-specific information, instruction and training.
