Join us as we journey through the wine regions of Italy. Discover what makes Italy the most fascinating wine-producing nation in the world! Taste beautiful Barolo, velvety Valpolicella, and charming Chianti amongst many others. We will explore regions such as Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Lombardia, Puglia, Trentino, and Sicily. Three whole weeks dedicated to Italy enabling us to unravel the mysteries and delights of Italian wine.

Join us for the tastiest date at Thames Valley Wine School! Your Fish and Chip Supper will be served alongside a tasting of 6 perfectly picked wines. Starting with classics like Picpoul and Albariño, we'll finish with both English Sparkling Wine and Champagne.

Join us as we kick off our tour of Italy in the first week with a tasting of the wines of the North- Piemonte which, houses wines such as Barolo, Barberesco, Gavi and Asti with key wonderful grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Dolcetto. Then we have Lombardy & Trentino Alto-Adige where there are aromatic whites and vibrant reds such as Lagrein and Teroldego.

Week 3 is the final leg of the Italian tour into the deep south of Italy and the regions of Puglia, Campania, Basilicata, and the islands such as Sicily and Sardinia.

In Week 2 we continue our Italian discovery deep into the heart of Italy, where the most recognised region lies, Tuscany. Here we find the famous Sangiovese grape, the leading variety that has a major part to play in all the reds from this zone such as; Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello, and the hot-topical 'Super Tuscans.' In addition, we find Umbria with Orvieto.

Including reindeer..add a red nose, Xmas trees...add a little tinsel snow to the top and a 10" rush angel for the top of your tree, plus stars, and mini wreath hoops. Festive snacks and a glass of mulled wine included. Please choose from the morning or afternoon session. 9.30am-12.30pm 1.30pm-4.30pm

Are you a little tired of drinking the same three or four different reds every time you go out? During this event, we will take you through a range of wines made around the world using lesser-known indigenous varieties.

 Come along and join in the festive spirit. In this workshop you will be making a luxury Xmas wreath, start by making a large  round base from freshly harvested willow you can then build your wreath using a combination of different greenery, dried oranges, lime, grapefruit, apple, star anise, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, fir cones, juniper, holly, ivy and much more. Your wreath will smell and look fabulous. Festive snacks and a glass of mulled wine  included.
