The WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits (formerly known as the Foundation Certificate) is intended to establish the basic skills and product knowledge required in the service and retail of spirits; it is ideal for preparing a person for their first job in hospitality or retail.

Join us as we journey through the wine regions of Italy. Discover what makes Italy the most fascinating wine-producing nation in the world! Taste beautiful Barolo, velvety Valpolicella, and charming Chianti amongst many others. We will explore regions such as Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Lombardia, Puglia, Trentino, and Sicily. Three whole weeks dedicated to Italy enabling us to unravel the mysteries and delights of Italian wine.

90 minutes of chocolate and wine indulgence! Have fun creating your own chocolate bar and then settle down and enjoy a guided tasting of wine and chocolate pairings specially selected by our flavour experts. Strictly for ages 18 and over. You may be asked to prove your age. Please ensure you have photographic proof of age as refunds are not given if service is refused because you cannot prove you are 18 years old or over.

Which country drinks the most gin and what are the styles of gin available today? Find out everything you need to know about gin during this fascinating two-hour tasting. We'll be taking a look at (and sniffing) a range of the botanicals used in the production of gin, then we'll taste six gins from around the world alongside some of our favourite premium tonic waters.

Join us for the tastiest date at Thames Valley Wine School! Your Fish and Chip Supper will be served alongside a tasting of 6 perfectly picked wines. Starting with classics like Picpoul and Albariño, we'll finish with both English Sparkling Wine and Champagne.
