Our Whisky Schools are just the thing for those with a growing passion for whisky and a thirst to learn more. For a full day, participants get to learn about most aspects of whisky, from in-depth production and historical information, to maturation and blending The tasting element is all important (of course!) and participants will have the opportunity to taste over 20 whiskies, from Scotch blends and single malts, to 'world whiskies', from places you might not even realised make great whisky! The course is presented by one of our industry professionals, who not only know their stuff, but know how to present it in an engaging and fun way.

The recipe for The Perseverance starts with a passion for fine alcohol, expertly blended with contemporary mixology, finished with a sprig of tradition and served in a tall glass of good times. We are proud to offer a curated library of some of the rarest spirits sourced from local London distilleries and spirit makers from the farthest corners of the globe. Our cocktail menu features a wide array of timeless classics, as well as a collection of imaginative modern twists and signature creations, such as Mezcal Penicillin, or Kentucky Butter made with butter-washed buffalo trace bourbon. Our team of expert mixologists will be happy to share their knowledge, educate a curious drinker on the art of mixology or, for those feeling adventurous, suggest something new to try. It’s all about the drinks here at The Perseverance, but if you’re feeling hungry, enjoy a selection of gourmet charcuterie and artisanal cheeses that will be a perfect accompaniment to whatever is in your glass. Explore our weekly live Jazz Nights or book yourself for a group or private mixology class, hosted by our founder David. We will take you on a journey through the history of mixology and teach you how to make your favourite tipples, sharing his tricks, tips & secrets that will be sure to impress your friends at your next dinner party.

Jimmy Smith has educated over 6000 students through the WSET Level 1, 2 and 3 Award in Wine certification programs and additionally is recognised as one of the leading educators in the United Kingdom of the Wine Scholar Guild programs. Jimmy has held hundreds of private and corporate tastings across the UK and internationally focusing on the learning and enjoyment of wine, whisky and beer. Jimmy has been running West London Wine School since January 2010. He also co-founded Streatham Wine House in October 2016 and became co-owner of South London Wine School in June 2019. In 2020, Jimmy started his Youtube channel ‘Wine With Jimmy’ aimed at providing top quality wine-focused educational content.

She is a mother, vortex healer, mentor, writer, doula, ex music industry reveller/ ex PR Director and embodiment coach with 20 plus years experience. She is also the founder of Liberate & Elevate a company providing high quality spiritual mentorship for creative leaders and changemakers. Originally from Manchester but currently dwelling on the South Coast of England, she serves a worldwide community in between cold sea dips and the odd nip of (medicinal) whisky.
