A review of the blowfly life cycle along with preventative management strategies and appropriate chemical use was discussed by Matt from ELANCO. Phillipa described effective treatments of clinically affected sheep to minimise compromised sheep welfare. Dr Lihou discussed the costs associated with prevention and treatment of clinical cases of blowfly using cost/benefit analysis modelling.
