This is an online course sat at your own pace to introduce you to clinical coaching. As an Abbeydale training practice the cost of this course is including with the annual TP fee. During the course we will go into the concept of training a student, learning methods, tutorial techniques, safeguarding and how to use the Central Skills Log (CSL). The course is open for 2 months. Once completed we can then arrange access to the CSL for one of Abbeydale’s students.

When people can’t envisage an end to their difficulties, particularly in highly challenging times, a slump into depression can all too quickly spiral down into suicidal thoughts, plans and suicide attempts. The negative trance state of depression itself can beguile people into thinking that there is no other way out of their hopelessness. Tutor Malcolm Hanson has a wealth of experience at helping seriously distressed people get through difficulties which he draws upon as he takes you clearly through the steps to take when faced with anyone who feels suicidal. (He worked for 9 years as a psychotherapist in NHS primary care in an area of extreme deprivation, and for many more years since has seen patients referred by GPs, social workers, psychiatrists, police and probation officers for complex issues.) An Introduction to Medical Terminology short course delivered online via Teams, suitable for anyone wishing to learn the basics of terminology. This course is aimed at anyone who requires a knowledge of medical terminology in their role. It is suitable for administrative staff, health care workers, medical secretaries, managers, Allied Health Professionals, essentially anyone who may encounter medical terminology and wishes to develop their medical terminology knowledge further. We also offer sessions to those requiring an overview of medical terminology to support applications to study medicine, veterinary medicine or dentistry.We can train between 1-30 learners from any organisation.
