Leeds Chinese Community School was established in 1966. It is an award-winning Chinese supplementary school within the Leeds City region. Our school is run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers. Each year our pupils achieve outstanding results in GCSE and A Level exams. Opening Hours Sundays (Term Time) 12.00 - 2.00pm (Mandarin) 2.00pm - 4.00pm (Cantonese) Main Curriculum -Cantonese language (Traditional Chinese Characters) Beginner up to A-Level. -Mandarin language (Simplified Chinese Characters) Beginner up to A-Level. -Mandarin YCT (Youth Chinese Test) -Adult Mandarin HSK and Cantonese classes are available. -TESOL classes - available on request. -Activity Classes: Chinese Dance, Yoga, Drama & other classes available on request. ashebo community interest company

The idea of ashebo was born in 2013 by Kemi Folarin she wanted to engage with people from disadvantaged communities to provide opportunities for them to learn and grow by sharing through the experience of doing. She went on to establish ashebo as a community interest company in 2014. Later that year Dc Carlton Howson and Martin Simms became directors, which enabled the vision to grow. The aim of the company is to: provide the space to enable creativity to grow, diversity to flourish and boundaries to be crossed.

Formal Training: We are an approved Centre for REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene, Infection Prevention and Control and Cleaning and Disinfection Courses Support Groups Follow on educational opportunities - working with Midlothian Council Life Long Learning. Providing cooking workshops in the local school and in the Hive Training Kitchen. Informal Training - we are hoping to introduce facepainting skills for young people Using our new Greenhouse to grow food, plants - and also grow people! CV clinics, computer skills training. Partnership working with Midlothian Council for the Hospitality Foundation Apprenticeships.
