In 2022, SNA students once again secured some spectacular outcomes. Once again, our Progress 8 score was securely positive which means that every student achieved strong outcomes. At A Level, our results were equally impressive with students gaining their preferred choices in education, employment or training – including those who secured places at either the University of Cambridge or Oxford. We passionately believe that in order for students to reach their academic potential, they must experience the highest levels of individual care, guidance and support. Within a welcoming and supportive environment, we provide a stimulating and engaging education where all students can flourish and succeed. In September 2016, we moved into our brand-new school building and at the same time, we joined Redhill Academy Trust. In partnership, we have a passion to continually support and drive school improvement. In January 2023, to ensure we can continue to accommodate the increasing need for school places in our catchment, our new £2.65 million extension will be complete. Alongside other facility developments including a new 3G floodlit pitch which will be ready for September 2022, our school community has long lasting, modern day facilities that enhance students’ educational experience. And in February 2022, Ofsted Inspectors visited us and confirmed that the school remains at least 'Good' in all areas of inspection - and we have improved significantly since this point. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of every single student and ensuring that students are challenged in their learning but enjoy and feel safe as part of our school community. Ursuline High School, Wimbledon is a voluntary-aided, comprehensive high school for Roman Catholic girls from 11-18. Under the Trusteeship of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. St Angela Merici Feast Day: 27 January. The school has moved through several phases during its history... The Ursulines were founded by St Angela Merici who lived in Italy in the 16th century. St Angela was born around 1475 in Desenzano on the shores of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. She was left an orphan in early life and spent several of her early years at Salo with her uncle. She acted as an advisor to the rich and influential and was known for her ability to reconcile those with differences. She was a ready helper of the poor and needy and she took a foremost place in what was very much a man's world. She moved to Brescia - the scene of her main work and where she eventually founded her company. On the 25th November 1535 St Angela founded the company of St Ursula, putting the company under the patronage of this early English saint, who was popular in the middle ages as the Patroness of learning. This was a particularly appropriate choice, as it reflected her concerns for the development and fulfilment of women. Her companions lived in their own homes but were consecrated to a life of poverty and virginity. After St Angela's death in 1540 her company became involved in evangelisation especially through education. Many branches of St Angela's company flourished and spread. There are many ways in which St Angela had a lasting effect on the company she founded and on the Church. Like St Paul she made herself all things to all people for the sake of the Gospel to bring all people to Christ. In her writings there is a great emphasis on prayer and all through her life St Angela was known as a woman of prayer. She also made a clear stand against the luxury of the world around her. She emphasized true poverty of spirit and trust in God alone. St Angela was also an educator in the widest sense of the word and in particular in the Christian context of leading people to find Christ in the circumstances of their lives.

We work collaboratively with you to design a bespoke package specific to your needs, providing strategies that help to ensure your children thrive. Our support will leave your school with capacity and capability to have a long lasting impact, and our professional challenge will enable your school staff to develop outstanding SEN and inclusive practices. Our service is comprised of a team of teachers who bring an extensive local and national perspective of SEND best practice. They have substantial specialist knowledge, skills and advanced qualifications in SEN and are experienced classroom practitioners and leaders/managers of SEN provision in schools. We use evidence based approaches from sources such as the Education Endowment Foundation, Whole School SEND, PDNet and the Autism Education Trust and support you to implement these in your context. The team also have well established links to a wide range of other services, professionals and health agencies, as well as a strong professional relationship with NASEN (National Association of SEN) and Bath Spa University. Core services Our service can be accessed on a consultancy basis, or at different levels of subscription with a number of days spread over three terms. In the highly stressful position of school leadership, it is often difficult to get a truly dispassionate view about how well you are doing or what other schools are doing to address particular challenges. Too often, external evaluation is very clear on identifying strengths and weaknesses but offers little in the way of advising on what can be done to address issues arising. With our experience of working with more than two hundred senior leadership teams across England, extensive knowledge of data management and analysis and up to date knowledge of inspection procedures; we can help you gain an objective, accurate understanding of the effectiveness of key areas of your school and will write this up in a way that directly contributes to your school self-evaluation, thus saving you time to spend where it really impacts; with your children and teachers. My Background After a successful 15 year career teaching in a range of different primary schools in different authorities, culminating in Headship, I joined a major public services company in 2008 advising on data analysis and management and school improvement through accurate self-evaluation. As part of this remit, I provided CPD and advice to primary schools across the country. In 2010, I undertook inspection training and became a fully qualified additional Ofsted Inspector. I successfully retained my badge in the reduction of inspectors in 2016 and continued inspecting until 2018, when one-day inspections significantly reduced the need for additional inspectors. During my time on inspection, I worked on behalf of SERCO and then Ofsted directly from 2016. In May 2011, I became a fully independent schools advisor and since then, as well as inspection work, I have worked with over 250 schools Nationwide. The location of these schools has included Sunderland and Teesside in the North East, Manchester and Thameside in the North West, various parts of London and Wiltshire in the South East and West, as well as many points in between! In these schools, I have worked in partnership with them on SEF writing, school advisory work, self-evaluation and school performance information analysis as well as providing both on-site and course training regarding data analysis and curriculum development. As I am not employed by Ofsted and have no ties to local authorities, then you can be sure that the view point I give is objective and based entirely around the evidence available. I work as an advisor to both maintained LA primary schools and Multi-Academy Trust groups.
