The IMI PAC course in High Performance Light Vehicle Tyre Fitting is 3 days in duration and is aimed at light vehicle tyre fitters wishing to update their skills and knowledge for today’s modern tyre types and designs. A minimum of 3 months practical light vehicle tyre fitting experience is required as this is not an introductory course. We also run a 1 day basic, non certificated course if for those without the tyre fitting experience, please contact for further details. Successful candidates will receive an IMI Professional Achievement Certificate in High Performance Light Vehicle Tyre Fitting. This is a two week programme incorporating eight different modules including: Module 1 - Basic Electrics and PAT Module 2 - Engines / Power Systems Module 3 - Non-Mechanical Equipment Module 4 - Basic Hydraulics and Hydrostatic Drive Module 5 - Powered Access Equipment Module 5 LLA - Low Level Access specific element Module 6 - Workshop H&S Essentials Module 7 - Materials Hoists including Sumner 2000 series and Genie SLAs During the programme the learner is inducted on their Level 2 NVQ in Plant Maintenance or Level 3 in Thorough Examination. One week with us and then a period back at work (4 weeks or less) to gather work based evidence and then a further week back at our Penybont training centre ​At 1/2 a point per course the training is worth up to 4 points towards your IPAF CAP certification. The Level 2 PM is worth a further 2 points and the Level 3 Thorough Examination is worth 4 points.

This One -day class teaches the safe and efficient use of electric filing machines. Electric files can add to the overall professionalism of your service and help reduce the strain on hands, arms, and shoulders. The course is suitable for both the inexperienced electric file user and for the experienced technician. THE REQUIREMENTS Salon attire must be worn during the course. Student must have one (right if you work with right hand) hand with clean nail without enhancements and left hand with nail enhancement which have 2-3 weeks growth for infill/backfill and long hair tied back. To ensure maximum practice, students will be required to work on each other throughout the day or on own hands or practice hand. To attend this course must have 3-month experience working with nails enhancement (Gel or Acrylic) Please bring your own acrylic or gel brush and product, cuticle pusher, nippers and if possible, your own Electric File. In case you do not own any of these you can buy them from us.
