Our Induction Days ran on the first Wednesday of every month (subject to availability) and are a pre-requisite to all of our longer courses. The day is designed for those who want to gain a basic understanding of what our longer courses entail and/or are trying to establish if a career in dog grooming is for them. The cost of this day is deducted from one of the longer course of your choice. THE COURSE WILL COVER Health and safety induction and UK Animal Welfare Legislation Handling and correct lifting techniques Preparing and grooming dogs prior to bathing Bathe and clean dogs Drying dogs and preparing their coat for styling Nail and ear care Finishing and styling demonstration by a stylist Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads.

This workshop is designed to give those who have to give bad news and broach difficult conversations increased confidence. Participants will leave the workshop with the tools and techniques to prepare for a difficult conversation and ensure that they are supporting patients and relatives through a stressful time in their lives.

A two-day Immunisation Training Course for Healthcare Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants (HCSWs/HCAs).

Reiki level 1, is the beginners level. Even at this level, you have access to Reiki energy and the ability to use Reiki energy to heal yourself and others. Level 1 is open to anyone. The focus during Level 1 is on opening the energy channels on a physical level, allowing the practitioner to connect to the universal life force energy; you will receive full ongoing support to ensure you feel fully confident and consistent in your practice. I believe this means more practitioners will continue to use reiki daily, rather than be attuned and then never use it again.

This course covers the technique for Russian Volume eyelash extension application. We also cover the removal and maintenance of lashes. The course includes anatomy and physiology of the hair and eye, contra-indications and contra-actions to treatment. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. On completion of the course you will receive a certificate and a recognised, insurable qualification Includes: Hard copy take home training manual Duration – Fast track one day practical classroom-based training plus online theory work. Theory work to be completed in your own time via The Guild student portal before your practical course date. Practical day – 10am – 5pm inc short lunch break. It is advisable that students arrive 15 mins early to ensure a prompt start. In a lot of cases the practical training can be finished earlier than expected depending on how many students there are, and the time taken on practical work.
