LITTLE MUSIC STARS is a collaboration with close friend Jeanne Friedman and was born after they realized that they could offer something different to the ‘old fashioned’ pre school music programs that are out there today. Katie wanted to inject new life into traditional children’s songs whilst also writing new songs that make the LITTLE MUSIC STARS program stand out as being modern, memorable and easy to learn. She has really enjoyed devising the new program along with the song writing process. The original songs for LITTLE MUSIC STARS incorporate many different music genres throughout the curriculum. Katie’s classes have a strong emphasis on the children’s imagination through song and dance as well as making it relaxed and fun! Katie enjoyed a very successful musical theatre career in London’s West End along with tours across Great Britain and internationally for 25 years. She appeared as Mavis and Vera on several occasions in ‘Stepping Out’ the comedy play, in London’s west end in 2017. She lived in Los Angeles in 2011 with her son Samuel for 3 years where she developed and taught the curriculum and even teaching Sandra Bulloch and her son on a few occasions! In 2014 she returned back to the UK and started the LMS program here and selling her first franchise in 2018. LMS now has over 200 children coming to classes each week, is present at 6 pre schools and has been part of many many kids parties over the years. Little Music Stars is set for world domination in the next few years...watch out everybody!!

Here at Ace Swim School we provide fun, friendly and high quality swimming lessons for babies and children. Lessons at Ace are taught by highly qualified, passionate and experienced STA instructors. Over the years we have helped many children take to the water with confidence and we would love to have your child join the fun too! We specialise in teaching children in small groups, a maximum of 4 children to one teacher, meaning you really do get the most out of your lessons! Children around the age of 4 years old can swim with just the instructors in the pool, however every child is different and so this can vary from child to child. Our aim at Ace is to ensure that each lesson is filled with fun, making it a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for ALL swimming abilities and of course Safety is a paramount consideration in everything we do. Not only do we teach babies and children how to swim, we teach them vital life saving skills, water safety and water confidence. BORN TO SWIM is a small swimming school established for 16 years. We have taught thousands of babies and children throughout the London area with amazing results. As we like to say, we teach from crib to competition. We are passionate about what we do and as well as teaching we wish to inspire our swimmers. From our baby and toddler classes, to our children’s lessons and our bespoke one-to-one sessions you can see the differences between BORN TO SWIM members to babies and children taught elsewhere. We have little ones as young as 3 years old swimming 10 metres. Okay, it may not be the national recognised stroke at this point, but it is definitely not doggy paddle. We NEVER ever teach doggy paddle or use armbands. Our teachers are enthusiastic about our approach and are all trained in the BORN TO SWIM building block methodology. They love what they do. They love children and have bags of patience and understanding little ones needs. They are energetic, build confidence, give support and tons of encouragement. Our teachers make swimming lessons fun whist learning, creating a conducive learning environment. ALL of our teachers hold ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) or STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) level 2 qualifications, CRB Enhanced Disclosure checks and a RLSS or NRASTC qualification. A leading educator has called the Centre Academy Schools (London and East Anglia) “the most successful special needs schools in the UK and, indeed, the most unique.” Here’s why: We accept a broad range of ages, boys and girls, from 7-19 (9-19 in London). This eliminates the anxiety, common to SEN students, of having to move from school to school to school. Research has repeatedly shown that for an SEN student, moving school is a tremendously daunting experience. We address an equally broad range of learning challenges on a case-by-case basis: ASD, AD/HD, Dyslexia, Speech and Language needs, Anxiety to name but a few. Such breadth and versatility is essential, as most SEN students face more than one learning challenge—and Anxiety is common to almost all. We group not by age or by year group but rather by ability and level of preparedness. Research repeatedly shows that SEN students accomplish best when they work with peers who are working at approximately the same level. We keep our schools small, approximately 50 at London and 60 at East Anglia. This ensures that our class sizes are small (usually between 4-8 students) and that learning will be individualised. At the CA schools, one size does not fit all. All our teachers are highly experienced and all have significant expertise in teaching SEN students. I have scoliosis and since I was 14 I went to the physiotherapist every week to improve my posture and reduce my back pain. I lived many years abroad as a humanitarian worker. I started my journey with yoga in India in 2009, which changed my life. At that time, I was living in Chennai and to take care of my back pain, I took private yoga classes for 2 years. Thanks to my teacher, I no longer needed to go to the physio, I had my practice to manage my pain. I did my first teacher training in 2012 at the Sivananda Ashram in Orléans. When I started teaching, people with different pathologies came to me, and I was afraid of hurting them, or to do the wrong think. I then began my journey in anatomy with Blandine Calais Germain and her team in 2013. In June 2017, I was one of the very first Yoga teachers to receive her Anatom'Yoga diploma (more than 300 hours of training in anatomy applied to Yoga). My dissertation focused on the link between the spine (obviously) and breathing. My other anatomy teachers are Leslie Kaminof (New York) author of the Bestseller Yoga Anatomy and Thomas Myers (USA) author of the very famous Anatomy Trains and fascia specialist. Today I deepen my knowledge by following personalities such as Gil Hedley (Dissection and Fascia - US), Robert Schleip (fascia research in Germany), Julian Baker (Functional Fascia- UK) and Jaap Van Der Wall (Embriologist - NL).
