Facilitation Skills Training

CSIE staff and our associate trainers are knowledgeable and experienced in delivering talks and facilitating training for teachers, learning supporters, local authority officers, other professionals involved in young people’s education, parents and students. How CSIE can help your setting We can support the work of: schools, by providing speakers for assemblies, staff meetings and Continuing Professional Development days, as well as working with staff towards inclusive school development; universities, by delivering talks for undergraduate or postgraduate students, contributing to conferences (keynote address, panel discussion or other presentations), as well as working with staff towards the development of a more inclusive institution; local authorities, by facilitating Continuing Professional Development events, as well as working with staff towards the development of more inclusive education in the locality; central government in the UK and abroad, by working with relevant officers at national level towards the development of more inclusive education. CSIE is a registered charity heavily reliant on income generated from selling our resources and services. Our current rates for the above activities are: Half day rate £500 Whole day rate £800 All rates are subject to VAT; travel and subsistence expenses may also be charged. The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) -Compacting qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means you need to be employed to undertake this qualification. This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work in Compacting within the construction industry. You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification. This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge. The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units: -Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace -Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace The learner will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in one of the following optional units: -Preparing and operating soil compactors to compact materials in the workplace -Preparing and operating landfill compactors to compact materials in the workplace -Preparing and operating ride-on rollers to compact materials in the workplace Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.

Who Should Attend This course is aimed at candidates that require the knowledge to enable them to comply with working at height regulations, and go in depth into industry dangers and respectability when working at height.  This course can be completed by both novice and experienced candidates. We also offer refresher tests. Novice course- 1/2 day Experienced worker tests- 1/2 day. Course information Category N404 Safe Working At Height It is envisaged that by the end of this course of training the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following: ➢ Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities when working at height ➢ Be able to define height work and identify the hazards of work above ground level and outline the general requirements necessary to control them ➢ Be able to identify accident causation in work at height ➢ Have an appreciation of planning and organisation of work at height ➢ Set up exclusion zone explaining actions required for emergency actions, identifying any overhead hazards ➢ Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for safe working at height use ➢ Demonstrate working at height and explain all safety issues that could arise Assessment Assessment will be to NPORS standards consisting of a theory test.

I am a qualified and experienced Brazilian Portuguese teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults. I teach Brazilian Portuguese for general purposes but also prepare students for GCSE, A-levels and CELPE-Bras. I have also been an exame conductor for many years in several schools across London. I love teaching and helping my students speaking as a native Brazilian.
